Pinnell ballet and lyrical companies form groups of dancers dedicated to the art of ballet and lyrical dancing.  Company members learn the value of commitment, charity, self-confidence, and so much more while building relationships and having fun.

Pinnell companies offer dancers more opportunities to perform than regular classes. The first performance opportunity for company members is Pinnell Dance Centre's annual Christmas Extravaganza, held to feed needy families during the holidays. The Christmas Extravaganza has impacted the community so much, the mayor of Gahanna presented director Jeri Pinnell with her own official holiday in honor of the show.

Ballet and lyrical company members also perform in "An Evening of Elegance" in the spring, to raise money for Children's Hospital. This event is a formal charity dinner held at Villa Milano. Over the years, Pinnell Dance Centre has donated over $10,000 to Children's Hospital through this event. At Pinnell Dance Centre, we believe in teaching our students the importance of giving back to the community. Through our annual Christmas Extravaganza and "An Evening of Elegance", company members learn the importance of charity while expressing themselves through dance.

Company members of all ages unite to create the finale of both "An Evening of Elegance" and Pinnell Dance Centre's annual recital. All company members participate in this ballet production number, highlighting each company separately and uniting them all in this spectacular production. This gives all dancers a chance to get to know every company member in our Pinnell family and a chance for younger and older dancers to perform on stage together.

Ballet and lyrical companies have the opportunity to participate in PDC's unique Big/Little Sister/Brother program. Young dancers are paired with older dancers to get acquainted with our program. The Big Sisters and Brothers provide excellent role models for the younger dancers to look up to. This exciting introduction takes place at the annual Pinnell Dance Centre Slumber Party, where dancers share their routines, play games, and meet their Pinnell Big/Little Sister/Brother.

Lyrical company members compete in competitions against other dance studios both around the city of Columbus and the nation. Our lyrical companies always excel at competition with top honors. For more information about our competition program click here.

Pinnell ballet and lyrical companies create great opportunities for children aged six years through high school. The lessons learned through charity, teamwork, and discipline make a lasting impression on all members involved. The friendships and great memories dancers gain through participation in Pinnell companies will last a lifetime.

For more information about our ballet and lyrical companies please call our office at (614) 476-4140 or contact us via e-mail at  ashleypinnell@yahoo.com. Auditions for companies are held in September.
